With the endless craze of reusable cupwear trends, overconsumption has led us astray from the simplicity of valuing, maintaining, and cherishing the objects we already own. As a result, I sought to resolve this issue through Cuppie, a coffee cupwear brand promoting intentional consumer practices through beautiful craftsmanship, community engagement opportunities, and connecting with the environment. The visual identity ties these services to the earthly roots of pottery-throwing and claymaking, connecting audiences to value the earth, its materials, and the human labor taken to create handcrafted products.
