Retro Playground is a fictional in-person festival based on the Memphis Art and Design Movement prominent in the 1980s. Held in Milan, Italy, the festival’s purpose is to celebrate it’s roots, with the visual identity being characterized by simple, playful designs to tie into the movement’s influence on childhood nostalgia for millenial-age adults. The festival would invite artists as speakers, and include physical installations for parents and children to enjoy.
